You may not have heard of onomatopoeia before but you have probably used it in your writing! It may look like a complicated word but it is used to describe words that sound like the noise they are describing.
For the writing task this week you are going to get to practise using more of these 'sound words' to write your own sound poem. You will need to follow the BBC bitesize lesson, linked below, before writing your poem.
Mild - Your poem should be 5 lines long
Medium - Your poem should be 7 lines long
Spicy - Can you write 10 lines for your poem?
You could also try to use different rhyming words and alliteration in your poem.
If you would like to share your biography with your teacher, then please send it on an email to our class email.
