Monday 16th November sees the start of Anti-Bullying Week. The theme for Anti-Bullying Week 2020 is: United Against Bullying. Anti-Bullying Week will start with Odd Socks Day on Monday 16th November to mark the first day of Anti-Bullying Week. Last year 75% of schools in the country took part, reaching well over 7 million young people, and this year St. Matthew’s would like to take part.
What is Odd Socks day?
Most importantly, Odd Socks Day is designed to be fun! It’s an opportunity to encourage people to express themselves and celebrate their individuality and what makes us all unique.
As a result, we invite all children to wear odd socks – the more colourful the better! We also wouldn’t want parents and carers to miss out so, if you are dropping off or picking up from school, please feel free to wear your odd socks too.
In addition to Odd Socks Day, the children will be covering anti-bullying topics within their classrooms at an age/stage appropriate level.
