At the latest Teaching and Learning Committee meeting the governors and staff reviewed the Homework and Marking policy and considered all the parent feedback gained from recent consultation events. The current set up seems to be popular with parents and strike the right balance for children. We also discussed the forthcoming review of the Teaching and Learning policy which aims to enshrine the St Matthews way of teaching and learning into a policy that helps new staff integrate into school as easily as possible. We reviewed the provision map of where the different aspects of British Values are integrated into teaching and practice within school, and discussed the make up and remit of the staff curriculum teams. Finally we discussed the new curriculum provision plans for each year group which between them ensure that whoever is teaching them all our children in every year group will cover all the curriculum areas they need to over the course of the school year.
