Children are to come to school on Tuesday in PE kit.
Library day is Friday.
Communicating with your child's class teacher:
Our direct year group email is year3@stmatthewsleeds.co.uk. As both classes use this email, please make it clear in the subject line who the email is for (FAO Mrs Burgener, Mrs Maini or Miss Wadwell).
Names in clothing:
Please ensure that your child's clothing is clearly labelled with their name so their clothing can be rightfully returned (should it be taken off).
Homework:
Spellings will be posted on Google Classroom with a test each Friday.
MyMaths tasks are set every Friday for your child to complete online.
Summer Term 1
Our current learning: The Stone Age, Bronze Age and Iron Age

School Trip to Skelton Grange:
We have taken part in lots of stone age activities at Skelton Grange including rope making, pottery, cooking bread and fish and hunting for different animals using stealth and our observation skills.
Spring Term 2: Easter Visitors!
Mrs Greenwood from St. Matthew's Church and Rev. Emilly from Chapel Allerton Methodist, came in to visit us and talk through the symbols of Holy week.
Spring Term 1: Well Being Day
We had an amazing day including lots of activities; crafting, yoga, Lego challenges, guinea pig life drawing and writing positive messages on postcards for our community.
Spring Term 1: Learning about Mummification
Mrs Burgener demonstrated how the Ancient Egyptians mummified their dead.
Autumn Term 2: Learning about Forces
We completed some experiments testing the friction of different surfaces.
Autumn Term 1: Diwali Art
We used our cutting skills to create these amazing pictures to celebrate light!
