Pupil Premium
At St. Matthew’s, we are committed to ensuring that every child, regardless of background, has the opportunity to flourish, achieve and let their light shine.
The Pupil Premium grant is additional government funding provided to schools to raise the attainment of disadvantaged pupils and to close gaps between them and their peers.
We use our Pupil Premium allocation to:
Raise achievement and accelerate progress
Support pupils' wellbeing and readiness to learn
Enhance experiences and opportunities beyond the classroom
Provide personalised interventions tailored to individual needs
Our approach is rooted in equity and compassion. We know that disadvantage can present itself in many ways, and we use funding flexibly to support children academically, socially, and emotionally.
Our latest strategy outlines how we are using the funding to support eligible pupils, along with measurable outcomes and planned interventions.
