Somerton Awards

The Somerton Award, set up in memory of one of our previous Governors, has been running now for a few years. This poetry competition is held in high esteem by staff, parents and especially the children. This year the awards will be on Thursday 19^th March.  After the half term holiday preparations will begin and each class will have a competition to choose their class representative. So now is your chance to help your child. We are inviting all children to either write a poem of their own or choose a poem that they know. They then need to practise reading this poem out aloud, with or without actions, from memory.   All support from home would be greatly appreciated!  Further details to follow when we return after the half term break.
